THE CHALLENGE
With the production of the image film ‘Ireland: A Love Story!’ Tourism Ireland Germany, together with us, is breaking new ground in early 2023. This is the first video campaign conceived and produced from Frankfurt specifically for the German-speaking market. The film complements the international campaign “Ireland. Where hearts beat stronger” and is designed to captivate a digitally savvy audience on YouTube.
While the budget is modest, the enthusiasm is boundless!

THE REALISATION
The concept and idea were developed in collaboration with the Hamburg-based film production company Rio Film. “The quirky humor and unconventional storytelling, combined with lead actor Uke Bosse, captivated us from the start,” says Kristina Gauges from Tourism Ireland. Then, filming began—on location, of course. The result is an extraordinary film that derives its power from the interplay of stunning panoramic shots and the lead actor’s emotional experiences, all while uniquely conveying Ireland’s charm, hospitality, and diverse natural landscapes.
Together with Tourism Ireland, we crafted a tailored content and ad strategy around the film, which ultimately exceeded all expectations. After just four weeks, our film “Ireland: A Love Story” had already garnered 1.6 million views on YouTube, making it one of the most successful tourism image films of 2023, even on an international level.
AND THE LOVE STORY CONTINUES…
The tremendous success of “Ireland: A Love Story” practically left us with no other choice but to embark on a sequel. That’s why Tourism Ireland is extending its online campaign, once again featuring actor and influencer Uke Bosse. “What do you love about Ireland?” This question is at the heart of Tourism Ireland’s international campaign, featuring notable Irish personalities such as actress Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls), and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Derry Girls). Uke, the presenter, actor, and influencer from East Frisia, also answers this question. In one longer clip and four shorter social media snippets, he humorously, funny, and emotionally presents his personal favorite places, thrilling adventures, and exciting activities across Emerald Isle.
