THE CHALLENGE

In 2018 everyone is talking about microadventuring. Haglöfs has engaged bestselling author and adventurer Alastair Humphrey as brand ambassador and is looking for an attention-grabbing activation in Germany that also involves retailers and translates the new Less is more collection into an exciting event.

THE IDEA

A microadventure on the outskirts of Munich – during the week from 5 to 9. Meaning after work and before the next working day.

Our message to the 50 participating customers of our cooperation partner Sport Scheck and the 15 journalists and influencers: You don’t need a lot of time, a long journey or heavy equipment to experience a real outdoor adventure. After work, at 5 pm, it’s time to get on the bus. We’re off to Schliersee. After an easy mountain hike, we’ll kayak over to the island of Schliersee and set up our tents for the night. After a delicious outdoor meal and live music around the campfire author and adventurer Alastair Humphreys brings the evening to a close by telling stories of his experiences around the world. The highlight for many participants was a morning swim in the lake at sunrise before returning to Munich in time for Office Hour.
